These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Greengo Development LTD, trading as SquareOptimizer (“SquareOptimizer,” “we,” “us”). They govern your access to and use of the SquareOptimizer browser extension, the dashboard at squareoptimizer.com, and any related services (together, the “Service”). By installing the extension, creating an account, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
SquareOptimizer is a browser extension that scans a Squarespace website you have editor access to, identifies images, and compresses selected images to a target file size, writing the compressed result back to your Squarespace site. The companion dashboard lets you create an account, purchase optimization credits, view usage history, and manage billing. Scanning is free and does not require an account. Optimizing an image consumes one credit per image, as described in “Credits, billing & payment.”
SquareOptimizer is an independent, third-party product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to Squarespace, Inc.in any way. “Squarespace” is a trademark of Squarespace, Inc., used here only to describe compatibility. Your use of Squarespace itself remains governed by Squarespace’s own terms of service, and you are responsible for ensuring your use of the Service complies with Squarespace’s terms.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, and have the authority to bind yourself (or the business you represent) to these Terms. You must have legitimate editor-level access to any Squarespace site you use the Service on — the Service is not intended for use on sites you are not authorized to modify.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and the connection between the extension and your dashboard account, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at support@squareoptimizer.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the SquareOptimizer extension and dashboard for your own internal business purposes — including, if you are an agency or freelancer, on behalf of your clients’ Squarespace sites. This license does not permit you to resell, sublicense, reverse engineer, or create a competing product from the Service.

New accounts receive a starting allotment of free credits. Additional credits are sold in fixed packs (for example, Starter and Pro) at the prices displayed on the pricing page at the time of purchase. One credit is deducted per image successfully optimized; scanning is always free and never consumes credits. Failed optimizations are not charged a credit.
Credit packs are one-time purchases, not subscriptions — you are only charged when you actively buy a pack. Purchases are processed securely by Stripe. Credits expire 30 days from the date of purchase, or sooner if fully used, whichever comes first; unused, expired credits are forfeited and are not automatically refunded (see the Refund Policy for exceptions). Prices are shown in USD and are exclusive of any taxes we are required to collect.
“Your Content” means the images and site data on the Squarespace site(s) you use with the Service. You retain all ownership rights in Your Content. As described in our Privacy Policy, image files are processed locally in your browser and written directly back to your own Squarespace account — SquareOptimizer does not upload, store, or retain copies of Your Content on our servers. You represent that you have all rights necessary to allow the Service to access and modify Your Content, and you are solely responsible for Your Content and for maintaining your own backups.
The Service, including the extension, the dashboard, our branding, and all related software, is owned by Greengo Development LTD and protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license granted above, we reserve all rights, title, and interest in the Service. Feedback or suggestions you send us may be used by SquareOptimizer without obligation to you.
The Service interoperates with third-party platforms we do not control, including Squarespace and Stripe. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of those third-party services, and your use of them is governed by their own terms. If Squarespace changes its platform in a way that breaks the Service’s functionality, we will work to restore compatibility but cannot guarantee a specific timeline.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every Squarespace template or site configuration, or that image compression will always meet a specific target size without any visible quality change. Nothing in this section limits any consumer protection rights you have under applicable law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SquareOptimizer and Greengo Development LTD will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100 if you have not made any payment. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SquareOptimizer, Greengo Development LTD, and our officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time by contacting support@squareoptimizer.com. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or if required to comply with applicable law, with notice where reasonably practicable. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law — will survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of laws principles, and the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service, except where applicable law requires otherwise. If you are a consumer resident in the United States, nothing in this section removes any non-waivable protections available to you under the laws of your home state. Before filing a formal claim, we encourage you to first contact us at support@squareoptimizer.com so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or through the dashboard. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
